How are dilators used?

It is recommended to wash the dilators with hot water and a neutral soap before first use.

Clean them in the same way after use and store them completely dry in the pouch. The recommended position for inserting the dilators is lying on your back with your legs bent and slightly spread. However, it can also be used while standing with one leg raised and resting on a chair. To facilitate insertion, it is recommended to moisten the tip of the dilator, or the vaginal opening, with a lubricant or even water. Breathe calmly and gently insert the smallest dilator into the vagina for 8–10 minutes, then move it in and out without removing it completely. Repeat these movements approximately 20 times.

It's perfectly normal that you might only be able to insert the tip of the dilator the first time you use it. Unless your doctor advises otherwise, you should repeat this exercise three times a week for two weeks.
